There’s nothing nicer on a bright winter’s day than a good walk or cycle ride in the Elenydd wilderness and a nice, warm log fire when you get back to the hostel. Run by youth charity , The Woodcraft Folk; Lockerbrook is perfect for youth groups. You’d book out the whole place for a minimum of 30 people so you have the place to yourselves with a self-catering kitchen, large activity room and comfortable dormitories with bedding included. The location is fabulous with magnificent views and walks in all directions on your doorstep. We can organise adventurous activities and loan outdoor kit such as waterproofs and boots if required. At the end of the day you can relax round the fire and we have a large drying room for any wet kit.
Tyncornel Hostel sits in the remote upland region of Mid Wales, where the cry of the red kite is more common than the sound of the car. Our 8 bed barn conversion and 2-3 bed cottage are both available this February half term. Whether you’re into walking, running, horse riding, cycling, wildlife, art, archaeology, astronomy or visiting local castles, there’s never a dull moment here. Not bad for a hill farm within Northumberland National Park 1.5 miles off the public road! Of course, you don’t have to venture far – for the less-adventurous, we have marked walks from the doorstep, and there’s a log burner and TV to curl up in front of. The Chellington Centre is a converted 12th century church located in the beautiful Bedfordshire countryside with amazing views of the Great River Ouse.

Located in the heart of the beautiful Welsh countryside, Corris Hostel is the perfect base for exploring the numerous walking trails and off-road cycle roads that Snowdonia has to offer.

Enjoy our super-cosy, and comfortable Old Brooder Bunkhouse where you can all eat together after hearty walks around our farm trails or borrow our 22 bikes to explore Suffolk’s quiet country lanes and enjoy the open fires and fare of the local pubs – and then sink into comfy sofas in the upstairs sitting room and watch a film or play board games into the night. The Old Brooder sleeps up to 22 in five bedrooms. Enjoy farm trails, barn owl hunting, the fallow deer on the move, winter woodland and trees cloaked in frost. Bring your camera!

Speke’s Mill Mouth waterfall is located in a beautiful area of rugged valleys and high cliffs; where seabirds swoop and wildflowers flourish. The waterfall plunges 48m from the edge of the cliffs to the rocky beach below. Speke’s Mill Waterfall is a short, coastal walk from Hartland Quay. Why not take a picnic (or a flask depending on the weather!) and spend some time appreciating the magical beauty of the North Devon coastline?
