A perfect base to visit Alton Towers or spend the day exploring the wonderful White Peak landscape. Great for quiet parties (but not stag and hen parties), group get-togethers or team building events. The barn welcomes families and is great for childrens sleepover parties with a spacious upstairs room for games. The barn is close to Manifold and Tissington off road trails for cyclists, Ramshaw Rocks for climbers and for those who enjoy water sports the barn is 20 minutes drive from Carsington Water. Also ideal for walkers, school, DofE and Scouts. Perfect for star gazers! This is camping in the comfort of a remote cosy barn with unrivalled views. You need to bring usual camping equipment including camping mats or blow up air bed, sleeping bags, cooking stove and fuel, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery. As there is no electricity in the barn you will also need to bring torches and flat safety night/tea light candles and logs for the WOODBURNING STOVE. Lite by candle light surrounded by fields, why not book a stay in this romatic location ?
Alstonefield Camping Barn is to be featured in a short film, called ‘Tap’ written and directed by Jessica Boyd, and starring Derbyshire resident Amelia Lander. The barn will be used as the home of the protagonists of the film, about two women who repeat the same activity every day for seemingly no reward or reason. Are they trapped or do they choose to be there? Jessica is a London based commercials producer and this is her debut short film. Keep an eye out for the trailer soon!
