Camping barn in the Lake District near Keswick

St John's-in-the-Vale Camping Barn is adapted from an 18th century stable and hayloft, in an idyllic setting. Overlooking St John's Beck, the peaceful hill farm has stunning views to Blencathra, Helvellyn and Castle Rock.

The Barn has a sleeping area upstairs (mattress provided) with a kitchen and sitting/dining area below. A separate toilet, and shower are within the building. The kitchen has a hob, microwave and fridge. Pans, crockery and cutlery are provided.

A wood-burning stove provides a focal point and warmth! There is a BBQ (home produced charcoal available) and seating area outside and, as there is no light pollution, the star-filled night skies are magical. Northern Lights have been seen too!

Home produced meat is also available along with our own Free Range Eggs and preserves. Please book by email (using the contact form on this page).

This accommodation is featured on our map of the Lake District and here is its own website.
