Self-catering accommodation on Dartmoor

Bachelors Hall is set in a beautiful secluded valley in the centre of Dartmoor National Park. It's just 1 mile from the small town of Princetown, the highest town on Dartmoor at 1400 feet above sea level. The 16th century former farm offer guests that unique sense of remoteness and isolation. School groups, DofE parties, large family get-togethers and reunions of friends can experience the freedom of the moor, the vastness of the landscape and the closeness to the abundant wildlife. Owned by the Duchy of Cornwall it was run as a youth hostel for many years until it was leased by Launceston College Multi Academy Trust. Completely refurbished in 2019 to a very high standard it now sleeps 56 across 6 rooms and 2 pods. Cosy and warm on the coldest of days it is heated throughout. There's a fully equipped commercial kitchen, a separate large dining room which doubles up as a classroom, an outdoor BBQ and picnic area, parking for 8+ cars or minibuses and WiFi. Outdoor activities can be organised if required. BYO bedding.
