OverviewLocated right in the centre of Dolgellau, Plas Isa provides relaxed, cosy accommodation aimed at independent travellers, individuals, couples, families and small groups. The building is Grade 2 listed and is next to the Golden Lion Hotel. The rooms have single beds which can be amalgamated to make super king sized doubles for couples or remain as singles for groups. The showers are separate and shared. The communal lounge provides a place to relax with a book, watch TV or socialise with your group or other guests. The dining room also provides an opportunity to socialise or plan your next adventure in the stunning surrounding countryside. The kitchen is available for everyone to use - don't worry about breakfast as that is included. Prefer to eat out? It is only a very short walk to the central square with it's cafes and pubs. Great stop for walkers on the Snowdonia Way or exploring the endless walking trails in the area. Cadair Idris is close by and the Mawddach Trail starts from the backdoor. Customers can either walk or cycle the 9 miles to Barmouth along the estuary. For mountain bikers and cyclists (Lon Las Cymru route) cycle storage is available. Directions:Right in the centre of Dolgellau, park in the short stay car park by the river (just before/after the bridge). Walk through the alley next to the Yr Hen Efail cafe to Lion Street. Plas Isa is on your right.
Public Transport:Busses from Aberystwyth, Wrexham, Bala, Barmouth, Tywyn, Machynlleth and Blaenau Ffestiniog. Nearest train stations are Barmouth, Morfa Mawddach or Machynlleth.

Walkers of all ages and abilities will find routes perfect for them up and around Cadair Idris. And the best place to stay is at Plas Isa in Dolgellau.
There is so much more to walk than climbing up to the top of Cadair Idris (although you can do that too if you want). There is a walk here for everyone.- short, long, steep, low level, strenuous, through the forest, with a pub at the end, along the river…. Stay a few days and find out for yourself!
