May Half-Term Availability on our Working Hill Farm

At Ilderton Dod Barns, located within Northumberland National Park, most of our lambs will have been born and the calves will be getting turned out on our hills with their mothers. With 1800 acres of our access land and thousands more acres beyond, it’s a nature-lover’s paradise. The farm is criss-crossed with footpaths and bridleways but we also have 2 shorter, marked paths which don’t require a map.

Accessible features at Darshem Country Centre

The accessible features at Darsham Country Centre are as follow: Removable ramps allow wheelchair access to the entrance and to the 2 downstairs bedrooms. A basic disabled toilet and shower is also on the ground floor adjacent to the bedrooms. Please advise the Centre in advance if wheelchair access is required so the ramp can be put in place and any furniture moved.

There are lots of lovely places to visit: Alston, Blanchland, High Force (beautiful Waterfall), Barnard Castle where the Bowes Museum is, Nenthead Mining museum, Beamish Museum … that’s a whole day out, so much to see. Northumberland and the coast and castles are not far away as well. If your doing the cycling C2C?  We are directly on the route .. end of 2nd day. We are also along both The Pennine Journey and The Weardale Way. Did you know Weardale is a walkers paradise … Englands best kept secret? So much to see and do, whatever your interests!
