Toad Hall sits beside the River Dovey, close to Snowdonia National Park. It is near to the centre of the lively town of Machynlleth, which has an alternative feel and a popular annual comedy festival. NCN Cycle route 8 and Glyndwrs Way route pass through the town. Cader Idris mountain is 6 miles away. Toad Hall has a four bed-roomed self-contained accommodation unit above the owner's family home. There is a mixture of family, double, twin & single rooms and full bedding is supplied.

PLEASE NOTE: There are no bunks and no shared dormitories; individuals, couples and groups all get private rooms.

There is a small self-catering kitchen and a single shower room. There is a very large games room with seating around an open fire (occasionally lit) which is available for use until 9 at night. The accommodation has modern gas-fired central heating and double glazing. There is a small flat garden suitable for camping, and a small workshop for bike repair/storage. Under 18s and well-behaved dogs welcome by agreement. Please book in advance.

Toad Hall offers simple private rooms to cyclists on the Traws Eyri route. Centrally heated and double glazed, there’s a small self-catering kitchen. Outside there’s a small flat garden suitable for camping if you prefer, and a small workshop for bike repair/storage.

Situated on the edge of Machynlleth, just 200m from the railway station, the location is ideal if you are arriving by train.  It’s also in handy walking distance to pubs, shops etc.

Toad Hall is quite unique as a hostel as it doesn’t have bunks, there are single, twin and double bedded rooms to choose from.

Toad Hall provides self-catering accommodation above the owner’s family home. There are 4 private bedrooms with fully made up beds. No bunks and no shared dormitories. The shared self-catering kitchen, large games room with seating around an open fire (occasionally lit), and workshop for bike repair/storage make this a welcome part of the Independent Hostels network.
