November 20th 2023

Three miles from Amesbury with the possibility of a route avoiding the busy A303 dual carriageway. We would love to hear about routes from anyone who has cycled from Amesbury to Stonehenge Hostel. This YHA-affiliated hostel has a mixture of private rooms and dorms. It has a self catering kitchen and on site cafe which is open for breakfast.

Stonehenge Hostel, a perfect retreat for outdoor enthusiasts and families

August 2nd 2023

Welcome to Stonehenge Hostel, a perfect retreat for outdoor enthusiasts and families alike. Formerly affiliated with the YHA, this charming hostel offers a truly unique experience, thanks to its proximity to the neighbouring rare breeds farm. As an exclusive treat, your hostel booking grants you complimentary access to the farm, where delightful encounters await with pygmy goats, peacocks, guinea pigs, and sheep. Just exit the hostel via the conservatory and head down the garden until it opens out into a farmyard.

Accommodating up to 70 guests, Stonehenge Hostel provides a range of options for your stay – from individual beds to private rooms or even reserving the entire space. The hostel comes complete with a well-appointed kitchen, an inviting lounge, and a sunlit conservatory that overlooks a serene garden. The garden in question is perfect for picnics as it has paths to explore, picnic benches, rose bushes and a water feature. There is also a vineyard located on-site, where (if booked in advance of your stay) you can enjoy a wine-tasting tour.

Beyond the farm adventure, a converted barn nearby houses a charming café and farm shop. If you don’t fancy cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, just head over to the cafe for your breakfast, lunch and dinner! Stonehenge Hostel isn’t just a place to stay; it’s a gateway to nature and community, offering relaxation, animal interactions, and exploration all in one package. Whether you’re seeking thrilling outdoor experiences or cherished family moments, Stonehenge Hostel invites you to indulge in an unforgettable escape.
