Darsham Country Centre boasts a unique and exciting setting in Darsham's former railway station and station master's house. The line is still in use and has hourly trains going between Ipswich and Lowestoft. An independent charity affiliated with the Woodcraft Folk, the Country Centre provides affordable self catering accommodation for groups of up to 24 people in 7 bedrooms in a mix of bunk and single beds. Recently refurbished, the facilities include a large, fully equipped kitchen, a separate dining room and a large lounge with pool table & piano. Outside there's a BBQ area with picnic tables and a large grassed area for games and a camp fire. The Centre is perfectly situated for exploring the beauty of the Suffolk countryside and visiting the area's many tourist attractions. The Suffolk Heritage Coast with sandy beaches, nature reserves and bird sanctuaries is just 6 miles away and the pretty market town of Saxmundham is also a few minutes drive away. For walkers the East Suffolk Line Walks are accessible from the Centre. Perfect for groups of friends and families, schools and clubs, the Centre offers discounts to voluntary groups and statutory organisations. Parking for 6 cars. Bikes available to hire.
