History in Reagill Village Hall
We have had the most amazing reviews from our guests and many repeat bookings. Although no one has seen the ghost yet.
If you are doing the ‘Coast to Coast’ walk, I could possibly pick you up in Shap by arrangement – that walk from Patterdale is hard enough without another three miles to Reagill. We also have a few sleeping bags at the hall and some duvets.

YHA Dalby Forest (previously know as Lockton Hostel) is now owned and run by an experienced independent hostel owner. This is indeed great news and a huge relief to the many thousands of people for whom Dalby Forest Youth Hostel has special memories and is a favourite place to stay. Currently offering sole use bookings, the hostel, in the sleepy village of Lockton in the North York Moors National Park, sleeps groups of up to 21 across 4 rooms. Affiliated to the YHA as a partner hostel.

Eco Hostel on Exmoor
Blindwell Bunkhouse has underfloor heating downstairs, radiators upstairs, and amazing hot showers, all from our biomass boiler. We generate electricity from our solar panels and have a Tesla power wall, for those arriving here by low-carbon electric car. Secure cycle store and drying facility help to encourage guests to arrive by totally carbon-neutral transport. Our water is from our filtered spring, and as a complete aside, this explains our name “Blindwell” as people would come here to drink the water for their eyesight.
Iconic YHA Clun Mill has been sold and is now run independently
If you have been mourning the sale of YHA Clun Mill we have good news! It now being run independently as a YHA partner hostel and is currently open for sole use booking. Sleeping groups of up to 23 across 4 dorms, it has a large enclosed lawned area, plenty of space inside and is well away from near neighbours. With great walking and cycling on the doorstep and the sleepy village of Clun with cafes, a shop and a pub just down the road, it is perfect for groups of families and friends.
Fully catered accommodation for groups
Here at Humphrey Head Group Hostel we pride ourselves on leaving our guests satisfied and smiling and a big part of of any happy guest is filling their bellies full of delicious food. While groups can choose to self cater our fabulous chef makes every meal amazing. I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding. We also have lots of experience catering to specific dietary requirements (allergies etc) so it would be great if you let us know before your visit so we can get everything sorted so no one has anything to worry about.

Our rooms are ideal for larger families with our 6 bed rooms, and families of four can stay in our 4 bed rooms. Full self-catering is available in our modern dining kitchen. The bunkhouse has underfloor heating and so is comfortable in all seasons. Come and see the wild ponies on Exmoor or visit the North Devon Coast. We are 14 miles from the coast and beaches for days out surfing and paddleboarding. There are Mountain bike trails nearby and many beautiful walks. Or just enjoy the wildlife in our secluded valley where you can spot red deer and buzzards.
Get your whole family together for a summer holiday in Pembrokeshire
Visit this secluded estuary valley in Pembrokeshire to find a village that has the peaceful feel of the past. A 15 minute drive from the beaches of south Pembrokeshire with their sheltered sandy expanses, and the interesting harbor town of Tenby with shops, museums and beaches.
Three miles from Carew Castle, privately owned and open to the public for very economical rates, the Mill and the Castle make a great day out. For a few weeks in summer Carew Castle hosts a medieval village, providing great activities for children and adults for the cost of a few groats.
In the nearby hamlet of Cresswell Key the Cresselly Arms seems to stretch right across the road to reach the tidal Cresswell River, which oscillates between mud flats and still waters. The Cresselly Arms has summer BBQ’s by the waters edge and on one lucky date you will find the Tenby Male Voice Choir singing with the pub to their backs and the river in front.
