Overlooking the unspoilt Howgill Fells, these two 18th century buildings provide comfortable bunkhouse accommodation for people wishing to explore this beautiful area. Perfect for mixed groups, DofE, families and people with special needs. Great for walking & cycling, canoeing & caving nearby, the Lake District is only 1 hour away. The Schoolhouse sleeps 8 in bunks in the central area with an extra bed in an adjoining room. There are two toilets, one shower and four wash basins and a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge/freezer, microwave and cooker. The living room has a multi-fuel stove, which also heats the radiators. Greenslack has a further 2 bunks and 1 single bed plus a bathroom for people with mobility problems. Get in touch if your group has fewer than 8 people but require Greenslack for these facilities. Entry into both buildings is by a touch lock system. Dogs allowed under strict supervision.
