In the centre of the unspoilt village of Kettlewell in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Wharfeside House is a perfect base for groups wanting to explore all that the Yorkshire Dales has to offer.

Ideal for D of E or other youth groups as well as groups of adults or families. The area attracts walkers, road cyclists, mountain bikers, bird watchers, people who like to fish, artists, cavers, pot-holers, climbers, as well as businesses who are keen to encourage team building but at economical prices.

Opened in 1969 by Huddersfield Wharfeside Youth Trust, Wharfeside house provides centrally heated self-catering accommodation for sole use groups of 10-32 people. Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen with Aga cooker and fridge freezer, shower facilities with separate male and female toilets and a small separate leaders' bathroom. Your groups will enjoy the large communal spaces including a lounge with open fire, a dining/conference room and cosy conservatory. There's a spacious drying/boot room and large indoor bike/equipment store.

Outside there is a large garden with beautiful views in every direction and onsite parking for up to 4 vehicles. The well stocked village shop is a short walk away and provides all you need for self catering. And if you don't feel like cooking there's a choice of pubs in the village serving home cooked food. All bedding is provided (small charge). Please note there is neither dishwasher nor TV.

It makes the perfect base for clubs, schools and gatherings of friends/families looking to immerse themselves in the beauty of this corner of Yorkshire. The walking is fantastic with the Dales Way passing through the village. This area is also popular with road cyclists, mountain bikers, bird watchers, artists, cavers, pot-holers, climbers and fishermen/women. In fact there is something for everybody.
