Seahouses Hostel is perfectly located for some of the finest underwater adventures around the stunningly beautiful Farne islands – with the combination of shipwrecks, one of the largest colonies of grey seals and fantastic marine life; it’s easy to see why this has been recognised as one of the best dive sites in the UK!
From 9th August 2021 we can accept solo travellers in shared dorms. Private dorms are available, but maybe subject to extra costs for under occupancy. During restrictions this was waived, due to the no sharing policy that was in place. Please ensure you are taking LFT or PCR tests regularly if you are sharing dorms. Manager Ian Tillett reopened Portsoy’s Sail Loft on Monday. This followed the relaxation of Scottish Covid rules.
The Centre welcomes walking groups. The walk pictured goes from our front door at Ashbourne Gateway – Mapleton – River Dove – Thorpe – Tissington Trail – Ashbourne Gateway in the space of 2 hours.

It’s been a long time waiting and now our hostel is once again welcoming you, our fabulous guests! The days have been glorious and our local mountains and lochs are waiting for you.
The enchanting town of Caernarfon serves as an ideal place to start an adventure in beautiful North Wales. Of course you could spend the whole break without leaving the walled town. Being right in the centre of the most Welsh speaking town in Wales there’s plenty to do.
Ushaw Historic House is a real gem of a hostel. Surround yourself in gothic splendour, spectacular gardens and a 500 acre estate. The magnificent house and adjoining stupendous chapels were designed by renowned architect Augustus Pugin. There are 12 comfortable private rooms (6 single and 6 twin), a well equipped self catering kitchen and plenty of communal, relaxing space.
If you’re a fan of the Welsh countryside, stone walls and plenty of sheep you’re in luck. Ffridd is the ideal place to escape the everyday and truly relax in a quiet and secluded corner of the Snowdonia National Park.
Divers are spoiled for choice at Browns hostel, with some world class wreck dives within 10 miles of the hostel. Boats from both WW1 and WW2 are visible at the Churchill Barrier sites and the Scapa Flow dive site.
For simple accommodation in the Lakes look no further than High Wallabarrow Camping Barn. A no frills stay for those just dying to get out in the midst of this stunning area again.
