Stay in style at our latest independent hostel.

Ushaw Historic House Aerial view

Ushaw Historic House is a real gem of a hostel. Surround yourself in gothic splendour, spectacular gardens and a 500 acre estate. The magnificent house and adjoining stupendous chapels were designed by renowned architect Augustus Pugin. There are 12 comfortable private rooms (6 single and 6 twin), a well equipped self catering kitchen and plenty of communal, relaxing space.

With free access to the gardens and chapels (normally charged) to all overnight guests and a short drive to the fascinating city of Durham, there will be plenty to keep you, your friends & family entertained. Any children in your group will love the outdoor ‘Fun and Games’ toys and activities in the Bounds field.   The final pleasant surprise will be the very reasonable prices!
