We have welcomed a great many groups over the years of all faiths; some use this calm and quiet space as a retreat, whilst others use their time for activities or exploring local heritage. After 6 years of successfully running Skiddaw House, Suzy and Martin have passed the reins onto a new Warden. The new Warden is Sue Edwards who has worked in hostels for over 11 years, 10 of which have been in hostels in the Lake District. Sue likes nothing better than getting a rucksack on, with tasty snacks inside, and heading out on the glorious Lake District fells with her dog Jura.

Stay in a centrally heated former town fire station, just 50m from the beach in the Harwich Conservation area.
