To the delight of C2C cyclists, walkers and lovers of the remoteness of the North Pennines, Mill Cottage Bunkhouse in Nenthead is taking guests again. Formerly known as the Assay Office Bunkhouse and now under new ownership, the bunkhouse is open to individuals, couples and small groups of up to 6 people. Dogs are welcome (by arrangement), a continental breakfast can be provided and you’ll find a cafe, community shop and bike repair centre in the nearby village.

Bring your group to Ashbourne Show this August
Ashbourne Gateway Centre is available on the weekend of the Ashbourne Show. Billed as Derbyshire’s Premiere Agricultural Show, this traditional country and agricultural show takes place on Saturday 20th August. Farm animals, horses, crafts and exhibits means that there is plenty to see during the day. Trade stalls and refreshments feature too. There are free shuttle buses running from Ashbourne bus station (4 minutes walk from the Centre) to the showground.
