Gateway to the Five Glens of Angus
Here’s a brand new bunkhouse to put on your watch list: Auchlishie Bunkhouse. If you head to Dundee or Perth and then roam further off the A90 towards the hills, you’ll be in Auchlishie Bunkhouse territory. Endless rural fields, a scattering of white farm buildings, drystone wall lined lanes and in the distance the Cairngorms.
Planning to offer 24 beds to groups or individuals in a rather Grand-Designs-y, architect-built modern building. It isn’t open yet.
Ideal as a base for hitting the Cairngorms themselves or the nearer Five Glens of Angus. Offering a contrast to the lush arable land around the bunkhouse, the Five Glens give access to rolling foothills, moorlands or proper highland-style peaks. Top grade walking country.
