With churches in nearby villages, the centre itself, or even a beachfront ceremony on the loch, there are plenty of options for saying “I do”. We’ve hosted weddings before, and they’re always great fun — especially for couples with an outdoorsy crowd who want to enjoy activities together before or after the big day. With 34 flexible bedrooms sleeping between one and six guests, the centre can accommodate up to 130 people, making it easy to host everyone from close family to larger groups of friends under one roof. Over time, many of my friendships have become a cycle of catch-ups where we simply update each other on our lives. We sit down, place an order, and then tick off life admin. Any moments spent with friends is a great connection don’t get me wrong, however, it has changed and become more ‘surface level’ where we keep each other in the loop. The reason is we’re now spread across the country.

It offers a quiet rural refuge in our lovely corner of mid Cornwall.
