The Bunker offers great value accommodation for walkers on the South West Coast Paths and for others to enjoy all the outdoor activities Portland has to offer. It is just a few minutes drive away the harbour where there are water sports to try, close to some great climbing spots and just across the road from Chesil beach.

The Bunker can be booked for sole use by groups, with or without self catering. All other rates include a hearty English breakfast and you can choose whether to hire bedding or bring your own sleeping bag. The bedrooms are on the ground floor, so no lugging all your gear up flights of stairs. The bunks are in rooms of 2 or 4 beds each with its own lock and a shower and sink. Upstairs there is an excellent communal lounge with free Wifi and tea and coffee making facilities. Packed lunches and evening meals can be booked and a self catering option may be available to individuals and small groups, just get in touch to see if this option is available for your dates. It is only a short stroll from the front door to take-away restaurants and pubs where you can enjoy great food and drink whilst watching the sunset.

Directions:

In the last 5 minutes of your Journey to The Bunker you will approach Portland Beach Road, with Chesil Beach to your right and the sea to your left. From there you need to continue straight on past 2 roundabouts and we are on the 3rd roundabout. Be sure to take it slow and you will see The Bunker on the left. There is plenty of free parking nearby.

Public Transport:

The nearest train station is Weymouth, 5.5 miles away. From there you can take a 5 minute walk to the esplanade heading towards the high street where you can jump on the number 1 bus to Portland which will drop you off right outside the door.
