The Bunker is the perfect place to stay for anyone who wants to take part in any of the fantastic outdoor activities Portland has to offer. Just a few minutes drive away, the harbour offers a huge number of water sports to try, or there are fantastic outdoor climbing spots if you prefer staying dry. Chesil beach is literally across the road and leads to some excellent coastal walks around the island. Importantly, it is only a short stroll from the front door to one of our local pubs for some great food and drink whilst watching the sunset.

Directions:In the last 5 minutes of your Journey to The Bunker you will approach Portland Beach Road, with Chesil Beach to your right and the sea to your left. From there you need to continue straight on past 2 roundabouts and we are on the 3rd roundabout. Be sure to take it slow and you will see The Bunker on the left. There is plenty of free parking nearby.
Public Transport:The nearest train station is Weymouth, 5.5 miles away. From there you can take a 5 minute walk to the esplanade heading towards the high street where you can jump on the number 1 bus to Portland which will drop you off right outside The Bunker.

The Bunker is ideally located on Portland with multiple activities just a short distance away, including local pubs and takeaways.
We are pleased to let you know we will be accepting bookings this summer in line with the latest government guidelines, please only book if you are able to adhere to these.
There are a few things we need to make you aware of before you book:
Our kitchen will be closed to the public as per government instruction, unless you are hiring The Bunker exclusively.
All food service will be table service for the meantime, which may take a little longer than usual.
The dining room/lounge is open. It is your responsibility to ensure you are social distancing whilst using it.
We hope you can understand that we are trying to offer our same great service and keep you all safe at the same time. We look forward to seeing you all soon!
