News & Offers from Ty Cwch Boathouse
Coast
August 12th 2026
Ty Cwch sits right on the Ceredigion Heritage Coast, in a small cove called Cwmtydu, between Llangrannog and New Quay.
We’ve got space coming up, August 9-13, 17-20, and 24-31, — short notice, so if you can move fast, we can offer 20% off for a stay of 3 nights, and more if you stay longer. Plenty of availability in September and October
The beach is a couple of minutes’ walk — sand and pebbles, a river pool where kids can paddle without the current, and clean water for swimming. Seals haul out on the beach in the Autumn pupping season, and this stretch of Cardigan Bay has the largest resident population of bottlenose dolphins in Europe. No promenade, no amusement arcade — just the cove, the cliffs, and the coast path in either direction.

Bank holiday week offer: Mon 31 Aug – Sun 6 Sept £110 per night per pod (sleeps 4)
August 10th 2026
Get 25% off and spend the August bank holiday week in the sea, not just next to it. The forecast is warm, and Cwmtydu is one of the better places in Wales to actually get in the water rather than just look at it.
The beach shelves gently, there’s a mix of sand and pebbles, and a small pool where the river meets the sea — good for cooling off without needing to swim out far.
Ty Cwch is a two-minute walk from the beach. Book a single pod, which sleeps 4, or the whole building for a bigger group.
Beyond the beach, the Welsh Coast Path runs both directions from the door — south to Llangrannog, north to New Quay — and this stretch of Cardigan Bay has seals in the bay most of the year and dolphins further out.
