Unique container bunkhouse on the Wales Coast Path
Situated just metres from sea in a secluded cove on the Cardigan Heritage Coast in Ceredigion, Ty Cwch Boathouse is unique & quirky with great environmental credentials. Built from recycled and local material, it offers energy efficient, low carbon holiday accommodation with low water use and low waste.
The Boathouse provides contemporary, bunkhouse-style accommodation for 12 people. On the first floor there are three cosy sleeping pods, each sleeping 4 in bunks plus 2 wc/showers. On the ground floor the kitchen, sitting and cleaning pods open on to the covered deck with the main sitting and dining area. There's an outdoor shower for washing off equipment and ground floor WCs.
All at your disposal are infra-red patio heaters on the deck, barbecues to use in the garden, an electric barbecue for use on the boatdeck under the sails and hammocks!
The Boathouse is in the village of Cwmtydu, directly on the Wales Coast Path between Llangrannog and New Quay. There are excellent circular walks, secluded beaches and spectacular landscape. Wildlife abounds, seals with pups can bee seen on the beaches and the area has the largest population of bottlenose dolphins in Europe.
For lovers of watersports, the beach offers easy access for launching kayaks and small boats. It is also excellent for fishing and swimming.
Sole use only in high season. Available to book by the pod in low season.
