Top Visit Wales grading for shiny new Swansea Hostel

The hardworking team at this new Swansea hostel are immensly proud and excited to have been awarded this top grading. Here is what the Visit Wales report said, “Cwtsh Hostel is a new purpose built hostel enjoying an excellent central location overlooking Castle Square in Swansea. The owner has clearly researched this market well and the accommodation is well set up to cater for a wide range of users with a mixture of large dorm rooms and private doubles.

All beds are hand made – the built in bunks are generously sized and the pods provide even more privacy. There are bright and modern ensuite facilities for all rooms.

The large kitchen/diner also has a lounge area with leather sofas and a huge projector screen for movie evenings. Branding for the hostel is excellent and great to see a ‘Sense of Place’ introduced through use of the welsh language and local photography.

The 24hr reception ensures high levels of customer service and from customer reviews, it’s clear that the reception staff are a credit to the hostel.”

Bunkhouse in Rural Northumberland

Chatton Park Bunkhouse is on a farm in Northumberland National Park. A great base to explore Alnwick with its famous Castle and Gardens, Chillingham Castle (a brisk walk away) and the many other castles along the Scottish Borders. The Northumberland National Park has a huge area of walking and cycling in the heather covered Cheviot Hills. There are also climbing and boulder crags very close to the bunkhouse. Not to mention its vicinity to The Northumberland coast and Holy Island. Hills, beaches and castles. The bunkhouse has been converted from the old Blacksmiths shed and the high hearth open fire is still in use in the kitchen.
