If you’re looking for Halloween adventures this October half term, come and stay with us and then head for Scaresville (at magnificent Kentwell Hall nearby) where your family will cross over into a twilight world, where reality and imagination merge, with scares and dares, as you traverse the woods, buildings, and parkland.
Winter may be fast approaching, but that does not lessen the incredible experience of staying in a converted mine shop within the North Pennines AONB.
The days are getting short, which means you do not need to get up quite so early to catch a fantastic sunrise over the moors above Carrshield. We cannot guarantee snow, but the North Pennines is the snowiest place in England, so why not head here for some winter fun. The snow may not be here, but you will get a warm welcome.

Autumn at Tyncornel
Now that the nights are drawing in and the weather is getting colder, Tyncornel is a welcoming place to visit. Arriving at Tyncornel after dark, you will see the only lights for miles around. The hostel is waiting to welcome you for an autumn visit. Inside the wood burning stove makes the common room very cosy. Outside, the leaves and bracken are changing colour, looking very attractive when you go walking. If the sky is clear, the hostel is a great place for looking at the stars.
