A February half term break in North Wales.

January 24th 2024

Book your stay at Capel Tanrallt for February half term. North Wales is a great place to visit at any time of the year. At Capel Tanrallt we have a wood pellet burning stove in the lounge, games and a pool table. We also have a drying room, so whatever the weather, you can enjoy getting out. That being said, the weather can be stunning in February, and if it is, you will want to be out all of the time!

We can have fantastic weather in February with cold crisp days, perfect for exploring in the mountains. If the weather is poor in the hills, it is often great at the coast and Dinas Dinlle, with its stunning sandy beach and views of the Llyn Peninsula is less than 15 minutes away. Castles are great to visit what ever the weather and we have three within an easy drive: Caernarfon, Harlech and Conwy. On your way back to Capel Tanrallt, why not stop at Caernarfon to explore the streets within the castle walls and enjoy some fantastic pancakes at Scoops! For the adrenalin seekers amongst you there is also zipworld which has the fastest ziipline in the world! There is something for everyone and your dog is also welcome!

We are situated on the edge of Eryri/ Snowdonia and within easy reach of the LlÅ·n Penisula. We have some of the best road biking in the UK on our doorstep, as well as amazing gravel routes straight from the front door. There is everything that you might need to make a cycling holiday easy and enjoyable. Rest happy knowing your bikes are stored securely indoors and enjoy warming up after a long ride next to our wood pellet stove.

Our accommodation sleeps up to 16 people and we have recently finished kitting out our bike storage room. This is a spacious and secure room on the lower floor. We have lots of wall mounts for your bikes and ample extra storage space for any extra kit that you might bring. Whatever length of ride and type of cycling you are interested in, we have something to suit you locally. There are stunning, quiet loops exploring mountain passes, sweeping beaches and rocky coves. Also, and perhaps most importantly, which cafes to stop at for a mid ride refuel/coffee.
