Accommodation in the Nantlle Valley in Snowdonia
Located in a tiny hamlet in the picturesque and historic Nantlle valley, Capel Tanrallt is the perfect base for exploring Eryri/ Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsular. With stunning mountains and beaches on the doorstep, as well as two UNESCO World Heritage sites (the slate quarries and Caernarfon Castle), cafes and numerous other visitor attractions, you are sure to find what you are looking for.The accommodation comprises two separate self-contained parts. These can be booked separately or together. Y Capel (The Chapel) sleeps 12 across 5 rooms & Cuddfan (The Hideaway) sleeps 4-6 people in 2 rooms. There are no bunks. In The Chapel beds can be either king size/doubles or singles. In The Hideaway there is one king size (ensuite), a twin & a large sofa bed in the lounge. Both The Chapel and The Hideaway are bright, spacious, modern & tastefully decorated. They both have well equipped kitchens, enough dining spaces for everyone, TV, drying room, laundry facilities and much more.
For walkers/climbers there are fab mountain routes from the doorstep and The Snowdonia Slate Trail passes close by. While for cyclists and mountain bikers the area offers some of the best cycling in the country and the Lon Las Cymru route is on the doorstep.
All bed linen and towels are provided. Dogs welcome with notice. Ample off-road parking.

The easiest way to approach Capel Tanrallt is via Pen y Groes on the A4870 and Talysarn on the B4418. Turn right at the T junction in Talysarn then continue until just after the small housing estate. Turn right onto a smaller lane at this point and you will find Capel Tanrallt a couple of minutes along the lane on the left. Grid reference: SH 488 522. We are situated on the edge of Eryri/ Snowdonia and within easy reach of the Llŷn Penisula. We have some of the best road biking in the UK on our doorstep, as well as amazing gravel routes straight from the front door. There is everything that you might need to make a cycling holiday easy and enjoyable. Rest happy knowing your bikes are stored securely indoors and enjoy warming up after a long ride next to our wood pellet stove.
Our accommodation sleeps up to 16 people and we have recently finished kitting out our bike storage room. This is a spacious and secure room on the lower floor. We have lots of wall mounts for your bikes and ample extra storage space for any extra kit that you might bring. Whatever length of ride and type of cycling you are interested in, we have something to suit you locally. There are stunning, quiet loops exploring mountain passes, sweeping beaches and rocky coves. We can give you advice on where to find the best riding in the area, whether you want a relaxing scenic tour or an epic full day adventure. Also, and perhaps most importantly, which cafes to stop at for a mid ride refuel/coffee.

With the mountains of Snowdonia on the doorstep, The Snowdonia Slate Trail and Lon Las Cymru passing very close by, Capel Tantrallt is the perfect base for walkers, climbers and cyclists. Choose from 2 self contained units; The Chapel sleeping 12 or the Hideaway sleeping 4-6.
Run by outdoor enthusiasts for outdoor enthusiasts, you’ll find everything you need. There’s a drying room, laundry facilities (washing machine & tumble drier) , and lockable storage for bikes and both places are beautifully furnished and decorated with fully made-up comfortable beds (no bunks). Fluffy towels are also provided and alongside the lovely hot showers there is heating throughout. The kitchens are fully equipped and stocked with the basics, there are dining areas with space for everyone and the lounges have deep comfy sofas and wood pellet-burning stoves.
After an energetic stay in the mountains, you deserve this bit of luxury.
Oh and dogs are welcome by arrangement and there is ample parking
