PERMANENTLY CLOSED ON 3rd MARCH 2024. In March every year, Keswick hosts a very prestigious literary festival, with speakers from all over the place and all walks of life.
New Studio now available
The Studio is a completely self-contained unit which will sleep up to 4. It has it’s own kitchen, sitting and dining area and a bedroom sleeping up to 4 in single bunks, with an outside area of decking.

Our favourite walk suitable for all ages
PERMANENTLY CLOSED ON 3rd MARCH 2024. Our favourite walk is up the path past the hostel waterfall to Ashness Bridge, past Surprise View and over to Rosthwaite where you’re rewarded with views of Borrowdale and the high mountains. There’s a lot to discover in Keswick and Borrowdale. Come and stay at Derwent Water Hostel where we will be delighted to share our favourite days out with you.
