Ideal accommodation in Fort Augustus for walkers on the Great Glen Way

The second day’s walk (from Laggan) or third day if an overnight was taken at Gairlochy, completea at Fort Augustus. This is a beautiful walk, in places the path is sandwiched between the Caledonian Canal and the side of Loch Oich covered with natural woodlands. Morags Lodge in Fort Augustus provides good value accommodation, meals, a bar and an efficient welcome for walkers on the Great Glen Way.

Mobility friendly en suite room at Llety Arall Hostel

There is a level access double room is at ground level with an en suite bathroom accessible for wheelchair users. There is smooth paving (as well as cobbles) and a car can access the street before 11am and after 4pm.

Accessible features of Coll Bunkhouse

Access: The bunkhouse is all on one level.
Bedrooms: There is at least one accessible room with a set of bunks, single bed, accessible sink and plenty of space to manoeuvre. 
Bathroom: Wheelchair accessible bathroom with grab rails and a roll in shower with two wall mounted shower seats. The toilet is a perfect height for slide transfer. 
Parking is right outside the Bunkhouse.

Disabled Accessible Features of Wooler Youth Hostel

The entire hostel is at ground level, making it very accessible for those with mobility issues. There is a disabled parking space directly outside the front door. There are disabled cubicles in the male and female toilets that are large enough for wheelchairs – with space for a carer if needed. Both are equipped with grab rails.
