Dales Bike Centre is at the heart of cycling in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. From luxury glamping pods to practical bunk beds, it offers some great accommodation choices. There are four new Glamping Mega-Pods—two with wood-fired hot tubs—offering a wonderful way to stay outdoors in luxury. The two barn conversions offer practical bunk accommodation in either a self-contained apartment or separate rooms with a shared bathroom. From lone explorers to groups of friends, and couples to families with kids, the Dales Bike Centre is ideal for you.

The 'Cakery Loft' is a four-bed, self-catering mini-apartment with a kitchenette, shower, and toilet. The 'Bunk Loft' features eight beds across lovely two- and four-bed rooms. These are warmly decorated and offer amazing views across Swaledale. Bedding is provided. The Luxury Mega-Pods accommodate "two plus" guests with a king-size bed, pull-out sofa bed, kitchen, lounge area, and shower/toilet room. They are ideal for couples, friends, and young families who want to connect with the outdoors without compromising on creature comforts. You can also soak up the view in your very own log-fired hot tub adjoining two of the Mega-Pods. Evening meals are available in pubs and restaurants in Reeth and Grinton, just a five-minute stroll away.

The famous ‘Cakery Cafe’ is on-site—a ‘must-do’ refuel stop for those passing through or waking up after a great night's sleep. As the largest bike hire centre in the Yorkshire Dales, the on-site hire shop lets you choose from over 50 bikes, including e-bikes, mountain bikes, gravel bikes, road bikes, and bikes for juniors. The on-site bike shop and workshop are always available to keep you going if you need a last-minute repair or piece of kit. A secure bike store, drying room, laundry facility, and bike wash are available, along with a wealth of local knowledge to help you get the most out of your visit.

This is the perfect venue for cycling, mountain biking, trail running, and walking. Richmond Walking and Book Festival, 28th Sept till 6th Oct 2019

Join this unique festival with nine days of book events and guided walks in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

Combine day time walks led by knowledgeable guides, with evening talks from popular and emerging authors.   Creating your own programme by doing as little or as much of either. The Festival is centred in the lively and picturesque market town of Richmond, eight miles from The Dales Bike Centre.  The Centre provides accommodation, café, drying room and a wealth of knowledge about the Dales.  There are 14 beds, in smart 2 and 4 bedded rooms, warmly decorated and with amazing views across Swaledale.

The walks programme features walks of varying lengths in some of the most stunning scenery England has to offer in the Yorkshire Dales and less well visited areas around Richmond.  There are also shorter town based walks of local interest and a programme of health walks.  With at least 3 walks per day to choose from you will be spoilt for choice.
