Planning to re-open in 2017
Helmsdale Hostel is in a small tourist and fishing town on the North East coast of Scotland and on the North Coast 500 route. Helmsdale is a great destination for bird life, coastal walks and hill walking. On Helmsdale’s harbor there is a lovely museum about Scottish life, with a statue in remembrance of the highland clearances. Helmsdale Hostel is also a well know stopover for the last night of the Lands End to John o Groats cycle ride. Closed for refurbishment in 2016 plans are afoot to reopen this much loved hostel in 2017.
