This festival is a great opportunity for an autumn break; combining daytime walks led by knowledgeable guides, with evening talks from popular and emerging authors. You create your own programme; do as little or as much as you choose, of either or both. The Festival is centred in the lively and picturesque market town of Richmond, Just 6 miles from Brompton-on-Swale Bunkbarn (3 miles if walk directly along the bridle path from Easby).

Well, some of the hot water comes from solar, the building is well insulated and mostly double glazed, laundry is done in house and mostly line dried and we encourage you to sort your recyclables into the bins provided (and more!) We are currently overwelmed with apples and guests are greeted with homegrown organic apples from the orchard
