A listed II* national trust property that’s just oozing with character. Sleeping up to 37 people in the former hayloft of the stable. Previously being a home for racehorses the Bunkhouse has now been stylishly furnished while still maintaining its historic character. Thick stone walls and wooden beams make for an atmospheric stay. For eating arrangements there is a fully equipped self catering kitchen and a comfortable dining/social area for everyone to share a meal in. You’ll be pleased to know that there is also a cafe for the no cook days. For activities the bunkhouse is surrounded by woodland managed by the national trust, plenty of wildlife spotting opportunities. Once you’ve seen all there is to Gibside maybe take a trip out be it small seaside village or busy Newcastle there’s something for everyone.
