In the heart of the Ogwen Valley with stunning views over Snowdonia (Eryri), this hostel is the perfect base for walkers, climbers and cyclists with the best routes straight from the door.
Snowdonia Mountain Hostel is surrounded by most of the Welsh 3000's, it looks out on Tryfan, the Glyderau and the Carneddau and you can walk, hike, climb or ride from the door. Zip World is just a short walk away, Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) and the beaches at Anglesey (Ynys Môn) are just a short drive away. Lon Las Ogwen cycle route and the Slate Trail pass our front door.
Former quarrymen's cottages have been newly refurbished to provide this well designed and comfortable hostel. The accommodation sleeps 24 people in four dormitories and a self-contained flat.
For school groups it is possible to have 10 + 10 separate gender dormitories and a self-contained unit and twin room for teachers. Sorry no stag, hen or drunken parties.

The easiest way to find us it to put Snowdonia Mountain Hostel into Google Maps - it will bring you to the house (the postcode (LL57 3DQ) will take you past). Parking for 10-12 cars available.
Public Transport :
Bangor is the nearest train station with a 10 minute walk to the bus stop. The 67 bus goes about every 20 minutes and we are a 45 minute walk from there or a taxi ride. Lon Las Ogwen cycle route and the Slate Trail pass our front door. T10 bus stops on the A5 and it's a 15 minute walk.

Snowdon Mountain Hostel lies directly on the route as it winds up the Ogwen Valley just north of Nant Fracon. Perfect for groups of up to 24.
Bedding is provided, there a secure bike store and this newly refurbished hostel is well designed and very comfortable. The stunning views and dark star-spangled skies are an added bonus. There is a 2 night min stay, which is the perfect excuse to stay a while, rest, recharge and absorb the beauty of the area.

An idyllic place to have all to yourselves in the heart of Snowdonia
You can walk or ride from the door in the stunning Ogwen Valley or even swim in the river while gazing at the mighty Tryfan. Climb Snowdon, visit Zip World or walk the Nantlle Ridge. We can share with you the special places that we know about. Secret walks and hideaways, the best deserted beaches and places to sit and be away from it all. No matter what you get up to you’ll be glad to be returning to this comfortable hostel at the end of the day.
