The Old School House is re-opening at the start of the school summer holidays, either in a limited capacity for individual rooms or more widely for families & groups wanting sole use of the building.
Kendal Hostel will be reopening on 4th July
We will be limiting the opening times and capacity in our kitchen and dining room. All are rooms are being sold as private rooms, so no dorms beds for a while I’m afraid.
Covid-19 Update: Deepdale Backpackers & Camping is currently taking no new bookings for July and August
Deepdale Backpackers & Camping is still currently closed, as required by the government Covid-19 rules. In the light of the high volume of provisional bookings already received, we are not accepting any further enquiries or reservations for staying at Deepdale in July and August. When a further announcement is made, and we understand the impact of any rules & dates upon Deepdale, we will then contact everyone with provisional bookings to discuss their potential stay and confirm whether we are able to accommodate them.

Alston Youth Hostel staff help their community get through the coronavirus crisis
With our hostel closed we’ve volunteered to be drivers for the Alston Essentials delivery service getting vital supplies out to those self isolating or in very rural places on Alston Moor.

In rural Herefordshire, close to the Welsh border, Dunfield House provides accommodation for groups of up to 101 with sole use of the house, stables, parkland & swimming pool. Both accommodations can be hired separately or as sole use. The Stables sleep 23 and has a self catering kitchen. The Main House provides fully catered accommodation for 73. A great choice for school, youth, music or church groups, training courses & family get-togethers.
