Self-catering hostel in Ballater
The Hostel is owned and run by Dominique & Daniel, who took over the hostel in August 2016. Ballater Hostel has both traditional dormitories and private rooms, along with a large open plan kitchen/dining/communal area with wood burning stove. An excellent drying room (with dehumidifier and fan heater), laundry (with washing machine & tumble dryer) and secure cycle storage (with outside tap & hose, CCTV, electrical points & bike racks) are all available.
Either book the whole hostel, a room or just a bed, with no minimum stay. Excellent facilities, comfortable beds and a warm and friendly welcome awaits you - the kettle is always on!

Shortly after passing Clan Shop on left (before T-junction and triangle of green) hostel is on right, on stony track, opposite Clachan Grill restaurant. From the west (Braemar) enter Ballater on A93. Go through village, turn left on A93 (Alex Pub on right, bridge over River Dee ahead). Hostel is 50m on left, on stony track, opposite Clachan Grill restaurant. 5min walk from bus stop outside Co-op.Public Transport :
