Every little helps…
April 21st 2021
Ballater Hostel took delivery of 7 brand new cool boxes today! One for every room 😁 With our kitchen (and thus fridge) temporarily “out of bounds” we hope this helps our guests out.
Whether you need to store your sarnies for the next day, cool that wine or hide the chocolate – all is now possible! Apparently they heat as well as cool…who knew…tests required me thinks.
Ballater Hostel very much looking forward to welcoming you
April 17th 2021
The sun is shining, the First Minister spoke a week early, things are really looking up! 😁
From 26th April (when we open)…
– Scotland wide travel will be permitted
– Travel from England n Wales will also be allowed
– Only one household allowed per bedroom across all of Scotland (until at least end of June)
– Our self-catering kitchen/dining room/lounge will be closed (until we can fathom out a fair system)
Ballater Hostel to reopen 26th April!
March 19th 2021
Very excited to say we will be reopening our doors on Monday 26th April, 2021 – woohoo!!
In line with Scotland wide guidance we will be offering private rooms only, one household per bedroom and unfortunately, at least until indoor socialising is allowed, no communal facilities.
But we will continue to offer tea trays in every bedroom, 24-hour access, mountains to climb, paths to walk, tracks to cycle, heaps of ideas on what you can do with the Cairngorms National Park right outside our front door. Cafes will be open, pubs will be serving (albeit outside initially), we will be here with very big open arms. I’ve ordered some sun too to top it off! 🙂
