The YHA's first Camping Barn

Blakebeck Camping Barn kitchen

Blakebeck Camping Barn, on the Cycle Coast to Coast in the English Lakes, is thought to be the first YHA camping barn.

Blakebeck Camping Barn, on the Coast to Coast Cycle Route in the English Lakes, is thought to be the first YHA camping barn conversion.   Set on the privately owned Blakebeck Farm, amidst wildflower meadows with panoramic views, the camping barn was converted from a stone barn over 20 years ago with guidance from the YHA.  Unused in recent years, a change of ownership at Blakebeck Farm has seen the camping barn return to life with a modern kitchen, hot showers, a large farmhouse table and chairs and plenty of space to socialise. Mattresses are provided so all you need for your stay is sleeping bags, pillows and food to cook.  Find out about more Ex YHA Camping barns.
