Big Mose Bunkhouse is closing in January, however a new bunkhouse will be opening just across the yard later in 2020.
Dudmaston Bunkhouse (opening around August) is on the National Trust Dudmaston Estate, not far from Bridgnorth. This new bunkhouse will accommodate 16 people in 8 bedrooms, with a large dining / meeting room, fully equipped kitchen and a soft seating area. Watch this space for news of the opening date so you can get booking.
Caldbeck Glamping Barns have a large cycling barn to store your bikes in.
Whenever you are standing in this North Lakes village you will see cyclists zipping through or making a stop at the pub or cafes! Mountain bikers can explore “The Back O’Skiddaw” route, up to Skiddaw House and on to Keswick or Threlkeld then make your way back, all off road. Road cyclists will be in there element with an abundance of scenic and relatively traffic free roads. A well known loop is to cycle through Hesket, Mosedale, Mungrisedale, Threlkeld, Keswick, then to Bassenthwaite, Uldale and finishing back in Caldbeck.
