Wake up in your spacious double bed, step into your en suite bathroom, come out, draw back the curtains, and admire the view of the sea. All the luxuries of a hotel with the vibe of a hostel.

Situated in the North West Highlands, our private room (the House Room) is a former B&B which we turned into private hostel accommodation in 2020. It comes with its own ensuite and access to a lovely garden which is sure to put a smile on anyones face.
Log Burners everywhere
We have log burners in all of our accommodation buildings. So no matter where you choose to stay with us you can relax and warm yourself by the fire. We think it’s the best way to heat a room and if you don’t get the chance to use one at home we highly recommend you give it a try, especially in winter.
Cosy evenings by the fire
The lounge is the perfect place to relax by yourself or with friends. After a day in the foothills of Snowdonia, gather around the log burner and relax, joke, or tell stories as the evening turns to night.
Warm yourself by the fire after a day in the Cairngorms
We are well aware that the Cairngorms are not the most tropical place on Earth and during winter it can get a little chilly. Well, here at Fraoch Lodge you warm yourself up in the best way possible, a natural fire in our log burner. Settle down on a comfy sofa and let the warmth wash over you and relax for the evening and share stories and jokes with your fellow guests.
Our Eco Bunkhouse is Warmed by a Log Burner
Here at Carrs, we are fully self-sufficient, our electricity come from solar power and wind turbines and our heating comes from an eco wood burning stove. You can enjoy the beauty of the North Pennines all year round, warmed by the fire during the colder months, all while safe in the knowledge that you aren’t hurting our planet.
Deepdale Groups Hostel in the Granary is Good to Go from 1st August .
Taking bookings from single households or groups of less then 6 people. This self contained accommodation has a kitchen, lounge and 4 bedrooms.
Ballater Hostel in the heart of The Cairngorms has en-suites
The perfect budget get away. Ballater Hostel has 7 en-suite rooms, each with its own special tea station (with biscuits!).
HYB Bunkhouse in Dolgellau is open for Autumn and Winter bookings
Open with restrictions to keep everyone safe, and sorry but we are not able to take bookings from big groups.
Slack House Farm do not intend to open their accommodation for the remainder of this year.

Rhossili Bunkhouse is now taking bookings (subject to the latest COVID guidelines) for those who are looking for a unique holiday by the sea.
Blythswood House, has had to make the decision to not open this year as a summer business.

Snowdon Lodge is closed for some refubishment.

The North Ronaldsay Bird Observatory Hostel is now open and taking booking.
If you have a booking July or August please let us know if you’re still planning to travel.
Pentre Bach is near a dog friendly pub
Pentre Bach in Snowdonia is eight minutes walk from a local pub that welcomes dogs in the bar. There is a sheepdog trainer next door and you can often see him training his collies. The accommodation is dog friendly and the 250-yard track to the barn has grassy areas all the way down, ideal for constitutional walks.
Farm Park and campsite has re-opened in the Brecon Beacons.
The bunkhouse is staying closed until September at least but our campsite has re-opened. We have fantastic views of the Brecon Beacons and Black Mountains and have an on site Farm Park and Pony Trekking Centre making it the perfect location for a family mini break.
Colonsay Backpackers Lodge is open this Autumn and Winter with availability from 21st August.
