May Half-Term Availability Surrounded by our Lambs
At Ilderton Dod Barns, lambing is well underway just metres from the door of our self-catering accommodation. Our 600 Scottish Blackface ewes are ideally suited to our hill farm in North Northumberland just 5 miles south of the Scottish Border. Those carrying twins lamb in the fields surrounding the property, while the single-bearing ewes roam the remaining 1800 acres of hill.

Going eco in the Highlands
The Glenfinnan Sleeping Car has always been run with an eye on sustainability – many of its guests arriving by train as we are at Glenfinnan Station. As well as offering a public transport/active travel discount for guests, we looked at other ways to be more sustainable, including replacing heaters, fitting LED lights, using eco cleaning products, eco toilet rolls, and introducing a recycling system.
Close To The Mountains
Llandudno Hostel, situated near the beach, but has the benefit of also being close to many mountains in the picturesque North Wales. Very close proximity to Snowdonia national park. Mountains listed in order of closest proximity Carnedd Llywelyn, Glyder Fawr, Tryfan, Snowdon are all within 35 minute- 45 minute driving time from Llandudno Hostel. The hills a short walk -15 minute drive closest to Llandudno Hostel for are The Great Orme, Little Orme, Nant y Gamer and Conwy Mountain.

A stay with us, has all the fun of camping, but without the hassle of a tent. Costs are less than some campsites and with all the activities in the area there is always something to do.
Bank Holiday May weekend
The Old Brooder Bunkhouse, is available for a small or large group! Free use of tennis courth and adult road bikes. If you come by bike we offer a green discount! The farm is glorious with farm trails to explore flower meadows, ponds with newts, birds singing and lots of ideas to explore the local villages on bike or by footpath.

Ashclyst Farm Hostel is a charming National Trust farmhouse surrounded by land currently in the process of rewilding, with Ashclyst Forest a short walk from the Hostel. Your hosts Martyn & Lorraine are tenants of the Killerton Estate.Their spacious farmhouse is available for extended weekend breaks. Guests have the use of five private bedrooms, the farmhouse kitchen, dining rooms and lounge. There is a walled courtyard, secure cycle storage and drying room.

Llandudno Hostel has once again opened their bunk rooms as dormitories. First time since COVID the dorm beds are available. With new bedroom carpet throughout the hostel, the standard of accommodation for just £28 is fantastic. Come and enjoy the stunning location, enjoy a hike up Snowdon or explore the beautiful Bodnant Gardens. There is a wealth of history, natural beauty, beaches, great pubs and shops all within short radius of the hostel.
