Covid secure measures at Cragside Bunkhouse in rural Northumberland
During September and October, we’ll only accept bookings for up to six people from different households, unless exceptions apply. And we’re lowering the cost of our larger holiday cottages and bunkhouses to reflect the new ‘rule of six’.

Royal Mile Backpackers has re-opened
Every booking gets a room, a sink, a shower and a toilet cubicle to themselves. Everybody has access to our self-catering kitchen (with a schedule) and the cosy lounge with the fireplace, with social distancing of course. We offer an online check-in where you also have the option to link to the NHS track & trace. We have signage and hand sanitiser stations throughout the hostel and we clean and disinfect everything like mad. As we can only sell such a limited number of rooms people can only book 4 bed and 8 bed mixed dorms – as it’s sole occupancy anyway they are the same price.
