Hardingsdown Bunkhouse provides comfortable accommodation for families or groups in a tastefully restored stone barn on an organic farm. The Gower has national nature reserves, outstanding coastal scenery, family beaches, castles and ancient monuments. Llangennith beach is one of the best surfing beaches in the south west, Mewslade Bay and Fall Bay are popular with climbers, while walkers and bikers can use the local network of footpaths and bridleways. The ground floor consists of a fully equipped kitchen, 2 shower/toilet rooms, a living room with 2 single sofa-beds and comfy chairs. Off the living room is a bedroom with a bunkbed sleeping 2 people. A spiral staircase leads upstairs where there are 3 bedrooms sleeping 5, 3 and 2 in bunks and single beds. Separate drying room and a lock-up for storing bikes, surfboards, canoes etc. Ample parking and a patio area that catches the evening sun. Shops and pubs nearby. The Chaffhouse is a new conversion close to Hardingsdown Bunkhouse on the Gower Peninsula. Sleeping 12 people in double and single beds its ideal for groups of families and friend. This self catering accommodation has underfloor heating, a large range cooker, dishwasher, and a table that seats 12 people. The cosy living room has comfy sofas and there are 3 bedrooms, drying room and washdown and storage for outdoor gear. The patio and lawn catch the evening sun and are perfect for barbecues.
The Gower has wide variety of brilliant beaches and some great self catering accommodation.
I can’t think of another area of the UK with such a wide variety of brilliant beaches, as those that you find on the Gower Peninsula in south Wales coastline. Just west from Swansea, this finger of moorland surrounded by coastline is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. From the wild windswept beach of Rhossilli Bay to the tiny tidal coves of Mewslade Bay, you can visit more then 8 different beaches, all within 30 minutes drive. Port Eynon Bay has an ice-cream shop and cafe in the small beach side village. Oxwhich Bay is well known for Watersports and the wild Three Cliffs Bay is a good walk from any road and has a crazy rip tide. A great base for a Gower Seaside Holdiay is the accommodation at Hardingsdown Barn. The original bunkhouse sleeps 14 in comfort with underfloor heating, self catering kitchen and 4 bedrooms.
