Overview
Thornbridge Outdoors offers excellent flexible group accommodation for family and friends' gatherings. In a fantastic location in the heart of the Peak District, Thornbridge Outdoors is a perfect base to access the wonderfully diverse countryside and interesting towns/villages of the Peak District. The Monsal Trail is accessible from the grounds; popular with walkers and cyclists, a flat, traffic free route of 8.5 miles between Bakewell & Blackwell Mill near Buxton. The gritstone edges of Froggatt and Stanage are within easy reach. The Lodge, Farm House, Woodlands and 2 The Woodlands buildings sleep 38, 38, 10, and 4 people respectively. All buildings are self contained, each having its own kitchen and dining/lounge area. The Woodlands and the Lodge are both all on one level and have disabled toilet/shower rooms, making them suitable for wheelchair users. Woodlands also has other accessible features such as hoists and a single profiling bed. The Farm House, a Grade 2 listed 19th century building is characterful with some quirky shaped rooms in the attached roundhouse. The campsite & teepees can be booked along with the Base Camp building that contains toilets, showers, kitchen and dining room. Outdoor activities led by qualified instructors can be provided both onsite and offsite at an additional costs (subject to availability). Festive Availability at Thornbridge Outdoors in the Peak District

Christmas bubbles of up to three familys are welcome to book our self-contained buildings at the heart of the Peak District. All the accommodation have their own kitchen and dining room to cook that festive meal and you get sole use of the building.
In a fantastic location in the heart of the Peak District, Thornbridge Outdoors is surrounded by diverse countryside and interesting towns/villages of the Peak District. The Monsal Trail goes through the grounds; popular with walkers and cyclists. The gritstone edges of Froggatt and Stanage are within easy reach.

Currently closed by teir 3 regualtions – Thornbridge Outdoors will re-open when Government regulations allow.

Great accommodation and camping in the Peak District. Ideal for a family Winter Staycation.
The team have been working hard to prepare the accommodation ready to welcome guests back to the centre. We are looking forward to seeing people enjoy their stays in the Peak District again – especially as we are well aware that a lot of people need a holiday after such a testing year!
As soon as regualtions allow we are taking sole use bookings of :
- Lodge
- Farm House
- Woodlands (our accessible lodge)
- 3 X camping areas with use of their own toilet and shower facilities, one of which includes the use of our fantastic Yurt.
Our cosy 2 The Woodlands cottage is available for a single household/bubble to book.

Thornbridge Outdoors. An activity centre for school groups

Comfortable accommodation and a whole range of activities for school groups of all sizes in the Peak District.
The accommodation comprises of the Farm House, Lodge, Woodlands and 2 The Woodlands and a group camp site with seasonal Teepees. You can hire some or all of them for your group. Woodlands and the Lodge offer accessible wheelchair accommodation. A variety of outdoor activities led by qualified instructors can be provided both onsite and offsite.
If you’re looking for a base for group activities, Thornbridge Outdoors can provide both comfortable accommodation and a wide range of activities.
