Clarity is the name of the booking system developed by Independent Hostels UK

Developed for accommodation within the network and never charging commission, Clarity is an intuitively easy-to-use booking system that works seamlessly on your own website and anywhere you need a booking link.

 

Commission-free bookings.

  • Collect commission-free bookings from your site, the Independent Hostels site and anywhere else you choose to use your booking link.
  • Clarity is an approved Google Connectivity Partner and displays your availability, prices and commission-free booking link on Google Maps via Google Hotels.


Bookings by the bed, by the room, and for the exclusive hire of the whole property.

  • Clarity smoothly closes off options that use the same accommodation.  Selling a mixture of whole property, rooms and beds with no risk of double bookings.
  • You can sell the whole property only for chosen dates.
  • You can sell the same room as a twin room, a family room, or by the bed as a dorm.  With no risk of double bookings.
  • You can release less economic units (rooms and beds) closer to the date of stay.  Maximising occupancy while retaining high-value sales (like whole hostel bookings).


  

Flexible prices that ensure the booking is always worth your while.

  • You can set prices for each room/building. Or set a price based on the number of people, with a minimum value to ensure the booking is always worth your while.
  • You can charge more at weekends and holidays. Or you can give discounts for longer stays.

Integrated payments.

  • You can choose to
    • take payments online (using the secure Stripe gateway)
    • receive payments by bank transfer (with protection from scams)
    • record cash payments
  • Clarity uses a clear colour system to indicate if a booking is paid, partially paid, or unpaid.

You stay in control.

  • You can choose to view and approve bookings before they are taken, or allow immediate online booking.
  • You can download your booking data into a spreadsheet of your choice.
  • Clarity provides clear setup and edit options, ensuring that all aspects of the booking system are in your control.

No technical skills required.

  • Clarity will set up your accommodation and calendars, and is intuitively easy to use.
  • Our friendly Booking System Support provides one-to-one telephone training.
  • You can call for help or with questions.

Free to use.

  • Clarity will never charge commission and is free-to-use for twelve months for all accommodation in the Independent Hostels network.
  • After 12 months if you still love using Clarity we will require a small charge (£10-£20 a month) that will help us to fund the continued developement of Clarity Hostel booking.


Based on years’ of feedback from hostel and bunkhouse owners,  Clarity is the ideal booking system for hostel-style accommodation looking for direct bookings.

Clarity can maintain your availability on Airbnb, Booking.com, and Group Accommodation, including automatically closing out whole-hostel availability when room/bed bookings are taken.  This is one-direction integration, and you need to manually add to your Clarity calendar any bookings made through these platforms.

Planned Future developments:-

  1. We are looking into the possibility of using wattsapp messaging to communicate with your guests.
  2. We are looking into the possbility of channel mangament connections to the OTA’s.

To allow Clarity to update availability on GroupAccommodation email the iCal link for your Exclusive Hire unit to info@groupaccommodation.com or add it yourself in the availability section of your Owners Area on the Group Accommodation website.
