The winner of the 2024 Welsh Countryside Alliance Awards for best butcher went to Izzy’s Butchers, Powys. Izzy’s Butchers is a 5 minute drive from Wild Valley Huts. Whilst staying here, having the best butchers in Wales on your doorstep is worth a visit to sample their fantastic produce.
A mile from Castleton in the Peak District, Pindale Farm offers a campsite on the field to the southwest of the Farm House, as well as self-catered bunkhouses and B&B. Perfect for D of E expeditions the campsite is also available from March to October for the general public. The field is flat and has taps and a drain as well as lights at night. There are six, 6-amp electric hook ups and heated toilet and shower blocks with hot water. For hammock campers, there are a number of excellent trees.
