Comfortable stays for walkers in Youlgreave, near the Limestone Way.

In the heart of the Peak District village of Youlgreave, just a few minutes’ walk from the Limestone Way, Cosy Cottage offers comfortable accommodation for walkers, couples, and families. It sleeps up to four people across two bedrooms – one with twin beds (which can be converted into a double) and the other with adult-sized bunk beds.

Youlgreave is a thriving historic village, home to three welcoming pubs, two well-stocked village shops, three cafés, and countless walking and cycling routes. You can take a wild swim in the river pools of Bradford Dale, explore the ancient stone circle at Arbor Low, or spend the day in nearby Bakewell or at the stunning Chatsworth House. Many scenic circular walks start right from the cottage door.

The cottage features a well-equipped kitchen and a cosy lounge with a log-burning stove, Smart TV, and Wi-Fi. Outside, there’s an outhouse with a boot dryer, washing machine, and tumble dryer for wet days, as well as an enclosed garden with outdoor furniture – perfect for al fresco meals. Bikes can be stored in the outhouse and there is also parking for one car. The cottage welcomes one small dog.

Towels and bed linen are provided, along with a thoughtful welcome pack of bread, butter, marmalade, milk, tea, coffee, and biscuits. A starter supply of kindling, coal, and logs for the multi-fuel stove is also included.
