Group accommodation centre on the Gower Peninsular

St Madoc Centre is situated on the beautiful Gower Peninsular. It sits on the edge of the picturesque village of Llanmadoc in 76 acres of meadows, woodland, headland and coastline. Yet it is just 15 miles from the shops and attractions of Swansea and The Mumbles.

This purpose-built group accommodation centre was opened in 2010 and sleeps groups of between 40 and 81. Its 11 rooms range from 2-bed rooms to 12-bed dormitories. All are ensuite apart from two smaller ones that share a shower room. Superbly designed, the centre’s facilities include a large commercial kitchen, fully equipped to cater for up to 100, a dining room with seating for 100, a sports hall (perfect for rainy day activities or music events), and a breakout room with a separate kitchenette.

Outside there’s a large playing field that includes a full-sized football pitch, a hard tennis court, a soft sand volleyball court, outdoor chess, table tennis and campfire/bonfire sites.

St Madoc Centre makes a wonderful base for schools, youth/church groups, corporate groups, weddings and large friends/family get-togethers. Outdoor activities and catered packages can be arranged for school groups.

  • Directions:

    The sat nav will get you to LLanmadoc village. Pass The Britannia Inn on your right. Drive up the hill passing the Llanmadoc shop on your right. Pass the triangle Island with a red telephone box on your left. You will come to a prominent white Swiss style house in front of you. Take the road that runs between this house and the ancient village Church building. Go straight on. Do not turn right . Do not go down the hill to Cwm Ivy. Half a mile on and you will see an entrance to Whitford Bay Caravan Park on the right hand side. The Centre is just to the right of their entrance.
  • Public Transport :

    Not recommended. Limited bus service from Swansea to Llanmadoc. Then a two-mile walk to the centre.
