Fabulous large bunkhouse nestling amid the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons. The Sleeping Giant Bunkhouse provides great value, comfortable & flexible accommodation for groups. The spacious and well equipped bunkhouse sleeps groups of up to 42. In addition, there's a self contained apartment that sleeps 2, and a campsite.

The bunkhouse has 9 rooms of varying sizes. There's a large well equipped kitchen with all the pots, pans & cutlery your group will need and a huge dining room with a table that seats 50 plus comfy sofas for relaxing after a slap up meal. There are 2 WC/shower areas.

The accommodation is perfectly suited for friends & family get-togethers, corporate team building, school groups and clubs.

Perfectly situated in a quiet location with direct access to great walking, water falls and wild swimming, your group will have plenty to do. There's pony trekking near by, access to the river Tawe for kayakers and the area is renowned for it's world class caving. Instructor lead outdoor activities can be provided if required.

Outside you can enjoy the 8 acres of private grounds, a BBQ and patio area and a large outdoor fire pit. There is plenty of off-road parking.

Dogs are welcome by arrangement. BYO bedding or hire. The Beacons Way and the Cambrian Way pass close by.

    From Swansea/Cardiff. Take the A4067, go through the villages of Ynyswen & Pen-y-cae. After Pen-y-cae take the first turning on your right, signposted Penwyllt (if you get to the village of Craig-y-nos you have missed it). Follow this road over a bridge and the round to the left where the road forks. Rhongyr Isaf is then on your right, up a track just before the first bungalow.From Brecon: Take the A4067, pass Dan-yr-Ogof show caves and enter the village of Craig-y-nos. There's a castle on your left. After leaving the village, take the next left turning, signposted Penwyllt (if you get to the village of Pen-y-cae you have missed it). Then follow the final directions above.

Tucked away, yet easily accessed, The Sleeping Giant Hostel offers great value accommodation to groups large and small wanting to explore the rugged beauty and varied attractions of the Brecon Beacons National Park. Without getting into a vehicle your group will enjoy direct access to great walking, water falls, wild swimming and kayaking in the river Tawe. A short drive will take you to pony trekking and some world class caving.
