Hostel accommodation right on the banks of the river Wye
River Wye Hostel and Campsite sit in 7 acres of parkland on the banks of the River Wye, within the stunning Wye Valley. Part of the pretty village of Glasbury-on-Wye, the area basks in rural tranquility yet is very accessible, just 1 hour's drive from Cardiff, 1.5 hours from Bristol or 2 hours from Birmingham.
The hostel makes the perfect base for exploring this wonderful part of the country. Canoeists, paddle-boarders and wild swimmers have direct access to the river Wye, (canoes can be hired on-site). Situated on the Wye Valley Walk and close to the Offa's Dyke footpaths. National cycle route 8 and 42 are on the doorstep and all the attractions of the Brecon Beacons are a short drive away. For any cycling emergencies there's an on-site bike shop.
Offering super flexible accommodation, there are two self contained units. The Hostel sleeps up to 26 across 5 rooms, it has a lounge and small kitchenette suitable for preparing snacks. The Main House sleeps up to 124 with dorms of 10-12 beds, smaller double/twin rooms and plenty of communal areas. Accommodation can be booked by the bed or by the room. Alternatively you can book sole use of either the hostel, the main house or both together depending on your group size. What's more the campsite offers the choice of pitches, electric hook-ups and bell tents and is dog friendly.
Please note that there are no self catering kitchens. You can opt for a catered stay or use the on-site cafe and/or the seasonal food pop-ups (1st June - 31st August).
