Situated on a delightful family owned farm, this four star Youth Hostel provides family/child friendly accommodation suitable for groups or singles who enjoy the countryside. The hostel is located 8 miles from historic Salisbury with its Cathedral, and only 5 miles from Stonehenge World Heritage Site. Cholderton also offers cooked breakfasts for a small additional fee if preferred. Entrance to the adjoining Cholderton Charlie’s rare breeds farm is free of charge to guests. It offers a range of daily activities including the famous pig racing and large indoor play barn. Or why not explore the tree top trail, zip wire and woodland walk in the grounds. Also attached to the hostel is the Bluestone Vineyard planted in 2016, the 12 acres of Vineyard will produce sparkling wine in years to come! Breakfast is available at the Ewe Tree Cafe where there is a fully licensed bar. Or relax and unwind in the hostel’s comfortable lounge and self-cater in the well equipped kitchen. If booked in advance a range of delicious home cooked meals, including packed lunches, freshly prepared by the on-site chef can be provided.

Public Transport:

Buses from Salisbury, stop 1 mile away (no Sunday service). Grateley (3.5 miles) has a frequent train service from Waterloo.

Annual hair cut day for our Rare Breeds Sheep. Watch the amazing Nick Flux shear our beautiful sheep and see how the fleece is turned into wool by our local spinning ladies. For one day only we have a one man and his dog display. Enjoy our wonderful Rare Breeds Farm with our lovely Ewe Tree Cafe with locally sourced foods and for this day only a BBQ will be lit on the farm.
