Unique bunkhouse on the stunning Exmoor coast
Bossington Bunkhouse opened for the first time in February 2025. This unique bunkhouse lies just ten minutes from the South West Coast Path near Porlock, on the glorious Somerset coastline. It's the only bunkhouse or hostel until Lynton.
Proven to be popular with walkers, cyclists, couples, and solo visitors, there are five comfortable rooms located within Bossington Hall, a luxury B&B. All rooms have hotel-quality beds and bedding. There is a king room and a twin room on the top floor, which share a bathroom, and two twin rooms and a single room on the ground floor, each with a private bathroom.
From May 2026, the three additional rooms on the ground floor become available, and all ground-floor rooms will have private or ensuite bathrooms. One twin is accessible and has a partially adapted bathroom. Guests of all the rooms have access to a full-size, very well-equipped kitchen and a large lounge with a 50” smart TV from May onwards.
Enjoy the breathtaking views of coastal Exmoor from this stone manor house. Take a 15 min stroll to Bossington Bay and swim in the crystal clear waters. Luxury private-room hostel on the King Charles III Coast Path, west of Minehead.

Just a 10-minute walk from the England Coast Path through picturesque Bossington village, this walker-friendly accommodation is an ideal stop between Minehead (3-4 hours walk) and Lynmouth (6-7 hours walk). Located in the former servants’ quarters of Bossington Hall, it offers comfortable beds, powerful hot showers, self-catering facilities, an on-site shop with meals, snacks and local beers. All bedding and towels are provided and the comfy beds are ready to jump into. This is an official South West Coast Path stamping point.

After months of prep, we finally open to our first Guest today who is walking the Coast Path.
A whole new venture for us, the bunkhouse has been created in the top of a huge, luxury B&B in response to many requests for simple one night stays for people walking the coast path and the Coleridge Way
