Unique small bunkhouse on the stunning Exmoor coast

Bossington Bunkhouse opened for the first time in February 2025. This unique micro-bunkhouse lies just ten minutes from the South West Coast Path near Porlock, on the glorious Somerset coastline.

Proven to be popular with walkers, cyclists, couples, and solo visitors, there are four comfortable rooms located at the back of Bossington Hall, a luxury B&B. All rooms have hotel-quality beds and bedding. There is a king room and a twin room on the top floor, which share a bathroom, and two twin rooms and a single room on the ground floor, each with a private bathroom.

From May 2026, the two additional twin rooms on the ground floor become available, and all ground-floor rooms will have private or ensuite bathrooms. One twin is accessible and has a partially adapted bathroom.

Guests of all the rooms have access to a full-size, very well-equipped kitchen and a large lounge with a 50” smart TV.

Enjoy the breathtaking views of coastal Exmoor from this stone manor house. Take a 15 min stroll to Bossington Bay and swim in the crystal clear waters. Or explore the footpaths from the doorstep over Bossington Hill and beyond. This is your perfect chance to stay in a prime location paying only bunkhouse prices.

With SWCP & Coleridge Way walkers and touring cyclists in mind, Bossington Bunkhouse offers supplies for DIY breakfasts, packed lunches and ready meals (for you to heat up) from the bunkhouse 'shop'. No minimum night stay and all bedding & towels are provided.

Luxury hostel style rooms in Bossington on the SWCP

Just a 10 minute walk from the South West Coast Path at Bossington, this newly opened micro bunkhouse is sure to be popular with walkers. The two hostel rooms (one king size and one twin) are found on the top floor of Bossington Hall, a luxury B&B. Designed to offer lower cost accommodation for walkers, every effort has been made to cater to the needs of those walking the South West Coast route. 

You can order basket breakfasts, supplies for DIY packed lunches and ready meals (for you to heat up). There’s even a small on-site shop (open 3-6pm) selling supplies for your evening meal. No minimum night stay and all bedding & towels are provided.
