Open Air Swimming Pool
Our hostel must be the only one in the country with an open air swimming pool at the bottom of the garden. Ingleton Outdoor Pool opens at the end of May each year for the Summer Season. Public swimming sessions run daily and it is also available for private hire. You can start or finish your day with an invigorating dip, or spend the day by the pool with the family.
Voted one of the top ten lesser-known lidos by the Guardian in 2018. Here’s what they said about it:
‘Ingleton sits in a fairytale-like glen, approached via a wooded path to the valley floor, where the pool sits in what feels like a secret grotto. This community-run pool has been invested in, and improved, in recent years and is now 20 metres of heated heaven. One side of the site is given over to terraced seating, with tables and chairs above it from which guests can look down onto the pool, while enjoying a snack from the kiosk.’
