Who does not love staring at the stars? Snowdonia National Park is a Dark Sky Reserve – with Cregennan Lakes being recommended as a great place to stargaze. Plas Isa Hostel is a short drive away, offering comfortable low cost accommodation for star gazers.
Cregennan Lakes are a pair of lakes on the flanks of Cader Idris in southern Snowdonia. Cader Idris is possibly the moodiest mountain in the entire National Park. The easiest approach to the Lakes and the fab star gazing spot is from the east, via the minor road from Dolgellau, only a short drive from Plas Isa Hostel.
